On November 12th and 13th 2015, we held a CASCADE planning workshop, which brought potential partners and CASCADE researchers together. The event was held in the ASU Memorial Union (map, driving directions, parking instructions, floor plan, remote connection), in the ASU Campus in Tempe, Arizona.
The goal of the workshop was to introduce the National Science Foundation's Industry-University Collaborative Center (I/UCRC) model and the vision and mission of the CASCADE center to potential partners and get feedback from them towards research projects that CASCADE will carry out. The first day of the workshop focused on vision, capabilities, and value proposition of the center, including project proposal presentations and discussions. The second (half) day of the workshop included highly interactive evaluation and feedback sessions with partners and representatives from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Workshop attendees were encouraged to attend both days of the event.
